n the wake of the devastating events at Vancouver's Lapu Lapu Festival on Saturday, April 26, Unity of New Westminster will host a non-denominational vigil to honour the victims, support their loved ones, and provide a space for all who are grieving.
The vigil will take place on Thursday, May 1, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM PT at Unity of New Westminster, 1630 Edinburgh Street, New Westminster, BC. It will be led by Rev. Rhona Segarra, minister of Unity of New Westminster.
This gathering is open to all faiths, backgrounds, and members of the community who wish to come together in remembrance, reflection, and healing. Candles will be provided for all participants.
"This vigil is a space for all to gather in grief, compassion, and unity as we extend love to those whose lives were forever changed," said Rev. Segarra.
