Hello everyone,

We had a fun and energizing brainstorming session at Unity of New Westminster last week. Thank you to all who attended. The room was full of thoughtful ideas, generous spirit, and genuine excitement about what our community could become.

It was inspiring to see so many people imagining possibilities together.

As I’ve been looking through all the ideas that were shared, one thing is very clear: there is a lot of creativity and goodwill here. Many of those ideas could grow into something meaningful if people have a place to keep the conversation going.

So I'm inviting anyone who is interested (whether you attended the brain-storming session or not) to join something we’re calling the Connection Crew.

The Connection Crew will be an open, ongoing group for anyone who enjoys imagining, shaping, and helping bring ideas to life in our community. Some people may want to help lead projects, some may want to contribute ideas, and some may simply want to stay connected to what is emerging. All of that is welcome.

To get started, I’ll be hosting a Zoom gathering where we can:

• revisit some of the ideas from the brainstorming session
• notice which ones people feel excited about
• see what might be possible to begin exploring
• and connect with others who share similar interests

There’s no pressure and no long-term commitment required. Just bring your curiosity and your interest in helping our community grow.

This will be the first of what I expect will be several gatherings, since we’ll likely repeat the brainstorming process again in a few months and continue building on the ideas that emerge.

If you’d like to be part of the Connection Crew, I’d love to see you there.

Please pass this along to everyone who might be interested!

Date: Monday March 9  TONIGHT!
Time:  7 pm PT

Thank you again for the care, creativity, and goodwill you brought to the brainstorming session. Communities thrive when people show up with open hearts and ideas, and it was beautiful to see that happening.

Warmly,

Rhona
