When are Sunday Celebrations?
Our service is at 11:00 am.
How long is your Celebration?
Our inspirational service usually lasts one hour.
How large is your community?
Typical attendance on a Sunday is between 40 and 50 people. We have over 40 members and we are growing.
What happens at a Sunday service?
Our service is inspiring and meaningful. It includes prayer; guided and silent meditation; and excellent, uplifting New Thought music. The message (Sunday talk) offers insights that foster spiritual growth, practical life-affirming solutions to everyday challenges, and spiritual practices that awaken you to your spiritual nature. We feature our regular musicians as well as guest musicians chosen carefully for their gifts as performers as well as their alignment with Unity teachings. Even though our service is purposefully upbeat and inspiring it also includes many opportunities for quiet reverence and personal introspection. We are a warm, inclusive and welcoming community.
As a first- time visitor, what can I expect?
All are welcome at Unity of New Westminster. During the service, you can sit back and relax, sing along with us, and enjoy the inspiring message. We give you a welcome booklet and invite you to sign up to be on our mailing list, if you desire. Immediately after the service you are invited to join us for a snack and fellowship in our hospitality hall. That gives you a chance to get to know us better and meet our members, and it gives us an opportunity to meet you and your family.
What do I wear?
Whether you choose casual or Sunday best, we welcome the style that makes you feel comfortable.
How can we continue to keep in touch?
Our calendar of events, as well as service opportunities, are posted on our state-of-the-art website. There is also a link to our Facebook page, which we hope you will visit. When you sign up for our newsletter, you can also receive emails on upcoming services as well as information about classes, workshops and events at Unity of New Westminster. We do not contact you unless requested to do so and never share your personal information.
