Welcome to week 2 of Unity of New Westminster's "Summer of the "Sound of Music"". In today's talk, we consider the lyrics to the song "My Favourite Things". In life, we will be faced with challenging situations at times. We may experience fear, anger and resistance at times. When we focus on challenging situations and our anxious feelings, it seldom helps us. In fact, those emotions hinder our ability to respond. Thinking of our favourite things helps to restore us to calm, and allows us to respond more wisely to the things that upset us.
